Meet Julie
I’m Julie Foss, founder of True Nexus Consulting, where I help schools approach AI with both innovation and integrity. I focus on guiding K–12 institutions through the early stages of AI adoption by aligning strategy with values. My work supports school leaders as they navigate the ethical, practical, and policy considerations of implementing AI across classrooms and administrative operations.
A typical client is a learning community eager to build readiness for AI, with leadership that values responsibility and alignment. These organizations understand that thoughtful governance isn’t about restriction, it’s about creating systems that support sustainable, equitable integration. They are ready to move beyond individual capability-building and toward shared structures that support those using AI.
Much of my work grows out of partnerships with professional learning organizations, allowing impact to scale through cohort-based learning models. In these engagements, I support school leaders and district teams in developing AI visions and implementation strategies rooted in their values, equity, and ethics.
One of my core offerings is the AI Governance Strategy Jumpstart, a structured engagement that helps schools get clear-eyed about how AI is being used, update policies, and develop a shared vision and strategy. I also lead vision-setting retreats where teams co-create ethical principles and explore how those principles show up in hiring, curriculum, and decision-making. My work consistently includes interactive dialogue, space for complexity, and clear entry points toward action.
I’m especially influenced by real-world case studies and ethical dilemmas. I help leaders bring AI decisions to a more conscious level by clarifying decision rights, surfacing stakeholder perspectives, and considering the broader impact on the communities their organizations serve.
Ultimately, I work with schools that are ready to think critically and creatively about AI; building systems that support students, educators, and leaders alike, grounded in what they value most.
