Meet Brett
I specialize in AI consulting for private SME’s based in North Wales, UK.
My consultancy journey started with a desire to bring practical, meaningful AI solutions to small and medium-sized businesses across North Wales. With a background in data analysis, I’m drawn to clear, measurable improvements—but I’ve also come to appreciate that successful AI adoption hinges as much on emotional intelligence as it does on technical know-how.
One of the biggest lessons I took from studying AI ethics is the importance of meeting people where they are emotionally. As someone used to data-driven decision-making, it was eye-opening to learn how counterproductive it can be to respond to emotionally charged concerns with facts alone. Now, I’m more focused on listening and framing AI as a tool for evolution—not elimination. I emphasize how reducing repetitive tasks allows teams to focus more on creative, high-value work.
My work so far has centered on tradespeople—builders, plumbers, and electricians—who are often underserved in the digital space. My first client, a builder in Llandudno, started with a free quoting automation that I built to get to know the industry. That evolved into a paid engagement involving website creation, social media management, and plans for an AI-powered invoicing system. Our working relationship has grown organically, and he’s referred me to several others, which has helped shape my focus on long-term partnerships.
Another project involved building a quoting assistant for a local plumber. I developed a custom GPT solution that streamlines his quoting process, using his historic data and materials pricing to help draft accurate and personalized quotes. While I charged a project fee for this work, I always aim to align pricing with the value delivered and the complexity involved.
I tailor my choice of tools, systems and products to the clients particular needs, always mindful of their requirements and cost implications, keeping things simple where possible.
I’m excited to keep growing this work and helping more SMEs see that AI isn’t just for tech giants—it can be practical, personal, and profoundly impactful for businesses of any size.
